Rene Descarte and the evil demon

The omnipotent evil demon is sometimes called the evil genius. Descarte believes that there is another world, outside of earth, with other people, an illusion the demon presents. The evil demon who is "as clever and deceitful as he is powerful, who has directed his entire effort to misleading me." The evil demon also presents an illusion of his own body and all bodily senses [ Descartes has no body?]. And has the ability to change the fundamentals of logic and mathematics.

This seems like such an interesting topic because it can be easily related to The Matrix with this idea of "another world" with negative parts.

This theory seems very interesting and does seem to have a relation to the Matrix. When you said there is a different wolrd outside of the one we know. The fact that their illusions I also connect that one to the theory of George Berkeley that everything is perceived. And like in the Matrix their bodies are really not present.

This can be connect to the Matrix. One way that i see to be connected is to the machine that you can say reincarnates in policeman or everyone. They are evil, and not good allies. I think we can go a step foward with this idea.
